Abstract

Experimental investigation of 2D-3D transformation of wave structures on the surface of a falling liquid thin film is carried out. Spanwise modulations with different wavelengths are imposed on 2D waves for the development of 3D wave structures. Comparison of theoretical and experimental data is performed.
