The work considers basic results of the experiment aimed at defining the character of the impact of acoustic radiation of pneumatic sources, which are used at a sea seismic survey, on separate fish species, dependence of a degree of this impact on the parameters of a radiated signal and the distance up to the object of impact. It has been shown that the shock effect is caused not so much by the differences of sources in the energy stored and the differences in the geometry of groups as (and basically) by the differences in the geometry of arrays and by the differences in the spatial structure of a field of peak acoustic pressure in the near-field zone. Experiments have demonstrated that compact arrays cause the greatest shock effect, while linear arrays cause the weakest shock effect.
