A variational finite-difference procedure for numerical solution of a plane elastic problem for a rectangular domain with inclusions and holes

539.3Abstract
A variational finite-difference computational procedure for the analysis of stresses in rectangular domains with inclusions and holes is presented. The results of numerical simulations are compared with the existing analytical solutions and experimental data for stress distributions around a circular inclusion and around a circular hole.
