Fractal dimensionality of a pair rapprochements of geostationary satellites and some statistical estimations

Abstract

On base of processing of several catalogues of geostationary satellites (GSS) from interval 2000-2013 years is confirmed the correctness of the formula $n\left( R \right)=\alpha \cdot R^D$, where $R$ is a distance of the minimum rapprochement of two GSS; $n\left( R \right)$ is a dayly amount of the rapprochements before $R$; alpha, $D$ are constants. For all catalogues the "fractal" dimensionality $D\approx 1.91$. Using this formula, the estimation of the frequency of dangerous pair rapprochements of GSS is made.
