Abstract

Seismogravitational strain considered the Black Sea coast. It is shown that from Succo Vill. to Myskhako Cape southern slope of the North-West Caucasus has undergone total seismotectonic processing. Field studies and interpretation of satellite images allowed for a detailed map of the southern slope deformations seismogravitational Northwest Caucasus, have updated the morphometric parameters, examine the nature of the data making up the deposits, as well as spend typing patterns and outline the sequence of their formation. There are two main types of deformations defining morforstruktural appearance described territory. The first type is difficult seismic excited gravitational flows completely disintegrated bedrock (Paleogene flysch) and consequent landslides-detruziv with great energy. These include most of the studied structures. The second type is typical consequent landslides slip with block structure. Development, they are generally at the periphery seismogravitational large deformations. The results show repeated manifestation of seismic events in the study region. The extent of changes in the landscape indicate their high energy class and the probability of finding the centers of earthquakes at the junction of the North-West Caucasus and Black Sea basin within or very close to the territory considered. It is suggested that the high modern geodynamic activity in the region is related to the tectonic structures underthrusting bottom of the Black Sea under the fold-orogenic structures Caucasus. Identified cases of overlapping terraces Quaternary landslide bodies are talking about a very young age significantly last significant seismic events.
