The Observatory of Kuban State University cooperates with Keldysh Institute of Applied Mathematics (KIAM) of the Russian Academy of Sciences within the NSOI AFN (ISON) project since 2012. Two scientific satellites Spectr-R and Radioastron are observed at this site using a 50-cm telescope RK-504. The 25-cm telescope MAK-254 is provided for remote observations of objects in low Earth orbits, jointly modernised the 18-cm GAM-180 telescope serves for observing objects in the geosynchronous region. The observatory took part in the international observation campaign devoting to the movement of the Meteosat-7 satellite into the graveyard orbit early April 2017. The processing of measurements on a daily basis, the construction of the refined orbit from optical and telemetric measurements, and providing of target designations for the observatory was carried out by the Ballistic Center of KIAM. In addition to the Krasnodar Observatory, 12 more observation sites participated in the campaign. In total, more than 11000 measurements were obtained for the Meteosat-7 weather satellite.
