In earlier works, the authors investigated the possibility of predicting a tsunami based on the study of the possibility of starting earthquakes in the oceanic environment. It is established that if the conditions for the occurrence of a starting earthquake that leads to vertical movement of the lithospheric plates, it is possible with prices even with a relatively small ballroom events. Such earthquakes are caused by heavy vertical impacts on the lithospheric plates. It is assumed that in the case of horizontal impacts on lithospheric plates, such as events are not possible. At the same time, with the horizontal movement of lithospheric plates, due to the increase in the number of degrees of freedom of movement of lithospheric plates, there is a need for a more detailed study of these events.
