Abstract

Simulation of basic elements of plasmon integrated nanooptics Finite-difference time-domain method (FDTD) based on direct solution of Maxwell equations is applied to simulate plasmon integrated optics elements. Parameters of various waveguide nanostuctures are estimated, e.g. straight channel waveguide, S-bend, Y-splitter, directional coupler, 90°-bend waveguide and T-splitter. Energy losses of the fundamental mode are 0.8 dB/mcm, additional losses caused by the change of propagation direction are less than 0.5 dB.
