Oscillations of a massive solid plate in ponderable fluid

Abstract

The work offers a mathematical model of harmonic oscillations of a massive plate on the layer of ponderable fluid. The problem is reduced to an integral equation with regard to overpressure on a plate. On the basis of the numerical solution of the integral equation, the effect of the mass of an oscillating plate and the added mass of fluid on dynamic characteristics of the plate is defined. The dynamic characteristics of the massive solid plate are represented graphically for different parameters.
